|Recommended: YesIt's an ok property. — Make sure you are friends with your upstairs neighbors, you can hear them walking, listening to the t.v. and other things It's a place that many call home, we just figured after being here we are just not apartment people I do think it is a bit pricey but would recommend to others who like larger apartment living.
|Recommended: YesGreat space — The courtyard is a great space. It makes it feel like you have a backyard even though you are living in an apartment.
|Recommended: YesSufficient — It has been good for us - good location to my girls schools and a quiet neighborhood and mostly young families and professionals. I have been here three years and have stayed because of the reasons listed above. However, recently they have allowed college students to move in and I am really hoping it is not going to be a trend as there have been very loud partying the last few nights. This neighborhood and these building have mostly been been families and professionals. If the partying college student trend continues we will not be renewing. hopefully is just an anomaly that will not continue.
response from property -Tracey, thanks for the feedback and for letting us know there have been issues with noise. I'd encourage you to talk to these residents and ask them to keep things quiet starting at a reasonable hour. If the problem persists, document the behavior and keep us in the loop please. This blog post we wrote does a good job of summing up your options: https://stevebrownapts.com/blog/how-to-quiet-a-noisy-neighbor-and-avoid-being-one-yourself/.
I would also like to add that we adhere to all fair housing laws. Anyone 18 yrs or older who meets our application criteria is welcome to rent at Yorktown and always has been.
