|Recommended: YesGood price, lots of space, nice people — Good overall. Lots of storage space, good location, perfect fit for 2 people
|Recommended: YesI love it here — Quiet, pretty, and a homey feeling. Great place to live if you have a dog. My favorite apartment I’ve ever had in Madison
|Recommended: YesGood — this is a great place, love the fireplace. the garage is also a great benefit
|Recommended: NoPoorly maintained, no courtesy — Stay away from any Steve Brown property, both their office and maintenance staff are rude and unresponsive.
|Recommended: NoStay away — I will say that Steve brown increases the rent during a pandemic and just to stay away.
|Recommended: YesOne of the best apartments I've found in madison — For the price it is excellent. We love our two bedroom apartment
|Recommended: NoHorrible — Moving in has been a nightmare. It’s very dirty and wasn’t cleaned or repainted. Fixtures, walls, appliances, windows, trim baseboards, cabinets, toilet seats, and more are dirty, rusty, dusty and broken.
|Recommended: YesOverall Good, But Some Improvements Can Be Made — Living at Yorktown is pretty good. The units I've seen lived in are in good condition. They have some wear and tear in the paint and what not, but nothing major is malfunctioning, and you'll have a comfortable living experience. Parking is the biggest issue that I see. There are too few spots for the number of units available. Road parking is available, but its always an inconvenience, especially when the snow starts falling.
|Recommended: YesEnjoy living here — It is a friendly rental community, and with the private garage, it feels more like a condo than an apartment. Ralph the maintenance technician is really nice and does good work. He also does his work efficiently and keeps you informed of the status of parts on order and installation dates. He just replaced my main bathroom light fixture that was broken and repaired several things in my apartment that needed attention.
|Recommended: YesGreat Property — It's a great place to live.
|Recommended: YesPerfectly adequate — It's fine. The carpets were a mess when we moved in, but with a place that allows pets, I suppose that's to be expected. Would have liked some more storage space in the kitchen, but my roommate and I were able to make it work. I really enjoyed having a functional fireplace and a porch, and the bedrooms were decently sized. Our apartment was on the first floor, and we rarely heard the first people who had the apartment above us, but the second set of people were quite loud. My roommate and I were able to fit both of our cars in the garage, which was good because the parking lot doesn't always have available spaces.
|Recommended: YesThis apartment is exactly what I was looking for. — The space, the privacy, the parking, the quiet community, and the easy access to restaurants and shopping is exceptional. The communication with Steve Brown staff has been top notch through the whole touring, leasing, and moving in process. I would recommend anyone to consider Yorktown apartments for their next home.
|Recommended: YesCozy — It's a cozy little apartment with a few minor flaws but overall very good
|Recommended: YesNice — Good
|Recommended: YesA Fantastic place to live — There's a lot of amenties, great location, excellent staff and the apartments aren't too shabby themselves
